This policy explains what information Great House Cleaning collects, how we use it, and the cookies we set. We keep it short and plain — you've got enough on without legal jargon.
Who we are
Great House Cleaning is a UK domestic cleaning service based in Durham, serving the North East. We're part of the Great House family alongside Great House Move and Great House Finish. What we collect
- Quote & contact details you give us — your name, phone number, email, the services you're interested in, your preferred callback time, and details about your home or clean. We only collect these when you request a quote, book a callback, or get in touch.
- Facebook & Instagram lead forms — if you fill in one of our enquiry forms on Facebook or Instagram, Meta passes us the answers you submitted (typically your name, phone number, email and what you need cleaning) so we can call you back.
- Technical & usage data — our site uses the Meta Pixel (see cookies below), which collects anonymised information such as your device, browser and pages viewed to measure whether our adverts work.
How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry, give you a quote and arrange your clean.
- To contact you about your booking by phone, SMS, WhatsApp or email.
- To measure our advertising, so we're not wasting money on ads nobody wanted.
We never sell your details, and we don't send marketing you haven't asked for.
Cookies we use
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We ask before setting any that aren't essential — advertising cookies only load after you press Accept on our cookie banner.

Where your data lives & who we share it with
- Enquiries and bookings are stored in our secure customer system, accessible only to our team.
- If you choose the WhatsApp option on our site, your message goes via WhatsApp (Meta) under their terms.
- If you enquire through a Facebook/Instagram form, Meta also holds a copy of that submission under Meta's privacy policy.
- We don't share your details with anyone else except where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and booking details for as long as we reasonably need them to provide our service, handle any follow-up, and meet basic business record-keeping. If you'd like them gone sooner, just ask.
Your rights & data deletion
Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. To do any of these, email team@greathousecleaning.co.uk with the subject "Privacy" and we'll sort it within 30 days — usually much faster.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
